is the only Iowa town on an island.

Duffield Lyon (Duffy Lyon), a dairy farmer and sculptor from
Tama County, has molded the butter cow for many years at the
Iowa State Fair.

Bettendorf invented the power-lift sulky (two wheeled) plow,
which was immediately adopted by 80% of plowing manufacturers.
