What made this person a famous Iowan?
Wallace attended Iowa State College and took over his father's position as editor of Wallaces' Farmer when his father became Secretary of Agriculture in 1921. Wallace was later elected at Secretary of Agriculture in 1932. He was later nominated and served and Vice President of the United States in 1940.

How is this person related to agriculture?
As Secretary of Agriculture, Wallace spearheaded the Agricultural Adjustment Agency. He also developed a number of high-yielding strains of hybrid corn, selling the seed with great success through his own company.
